COVID-19: One Distributor’s Story
The COVID-19 pandemic has had a dramatic impact on our world, including those who provide and use complex rehab technology. It has upended the way we all do business and threatened our collective ability to meet the needs of wheelchair users.
The difficulties faced by BES Healthcare, Bodypoint’s distributor in the United Kingdom (UK), are probably typical in many ways. But along with all the hardship and juggling, Dirk ter Haar, the company’s non-executive chairman, has found reason to be optimistic.
Keeping it Clean
Now more than ever, during this time of pandemic, it is critically important that wheelchair users clean their medical equipment. Bodypoint’s sewn products, such as harnesses and pelvic positioning belts, are often worn by users for extended periods of time, and so have been designed for maximum comfort and easy care. These products are tested to guarantee they are machine washable and dryer compatible.

Meet Sam Bridgman
Mark Jordan, the VP of sales and marketing for Bodypoint, was enjoying his daily ferry ride home from work one day, when by chance, he met Sam Bridgman and his family. Striking up a conversation, Mark learned that Sam did not enjoy wearing his non-padded hip belt, and would sometimes fall out of his wheelchair. He suggested that there were other styles of hip belts worth trying and invited Sam to Bodypoint for a show-and-tell.
Bodypoint Webinar and Training Series
We have launched a new Webinar and Training Program to provide Bodypoint product information, clinical application and educational opportunities on seating and positioning topics. This program includes live broadcast webinars as well as on-demand videos that can be viewed on YouTube and the Partner Center.

Evoflex Belt Extender
Have you seen the new Evoflex Belt Extender (EBE100)? This great new product was designed specifically for the Evoflex Hip Belt, and can be used to extend the belt by up to 12.5 cm (5”) per side. It’s perfect for chairs with thick, custom-molded seat cushions or distant mounting points. Read more here >

At this year’s Bodypoint Partner Event, held in March 2020 at the International Seating Symposium in Vancouver, Canada, we celebrated together and gave out awards in a variety of categories to our international distributors and U.S. sales representatives for their hard work.
