Bodypoint, Inc. Announces New Product Manager

Seattle, Washington (March 31, 2016) – Bodypoint, Inc., the world’s leading manufacturer of postural support devices for wheelchair users, announces Laurie Gelb as the company’s Product Manager.

In this role, Gelb will help maintain Bodypoint product alignment with user and therapist needs. Gelb brings more than 30 years’ research, operations and marketing experience in health systems, biopharmaceuticals, medical devices and managed care to Bodypoint. For example, she has managed Biomathematics at the M.D. Anderson Cancer Center, helped commercialize new CNS products at Sanofi and published survey/chart/claims research while at an Anthem subsidiary. As a consultant, she helped launch and grow blockbuster and niche brands across therapeutic areas.

Gelb’s research background spans patient-reported and clinical outcomes, e-health and chronic disease management. "Laurie’s experience translating insights into new products to improve the lives of patients, runs wide and deep.” says Nicole Muehlenhaus, Director of Global Sales and Marketing. “We’re thrilled to benefit from that experience in this key position at Bodypoint.”

Laurie earned her Master’s degree in Public Health from the University of Texas, is a Managed Care On Line faculty member and provides volunteer patient/caregiver support. Gelb noted, “My husband had ALS, so I know the importance of wheelchair user access to the unique positioning solutions that Bodypoint has spearheaded over the last 25 years. I look forward to supporting products that keep pace with the innovations that we are seeing in mobility devices, and in other assistive technology that enables fuller lives.” Laurie Gelb Photo
